The final render

My original sketch. The surrounding design changed, but the original idea is all there.

A few expressions and thoughts about how the rocks could animate.

Some quick VFX for responses based on scores and moods.

The 3D block out.

I participated in my first official Global Game Jam this past weekend. I decided to dive head on into it by helping make an NES style game. A working web version of our game can be found here: https://www.slembcke.net/nes/TrashBandits/

Some of the pixel art that I helped make.

By far, the highlight of the game jam was the Executive Director of Global Game Jam, Maria Burns Ortiz, stopping by and playing our game.

I was excited to be able to help out C Prompt Games with some icons for Millennia. Millennia is out now!
Exploration designs for the Stunt Sets DLC and CyberFunk DLC. Found these deep within my hard drive.

As we approached the release of Totally Reliable Delivery Service we wanted to fill out the world with some fun ideas that players could interact with in interesting ways. More vehicles and props around the world are always a good way to add fun!

I created a chunk of the titling textures to help the 3D team on Totally Reliable Delivery Service

Hustle Beach was one of my favorite areas in Totally Reliable Delivery Service to work on. I based all the hotels off of the crazy 70s hotels that had so much character and tried to add extra character on top of that.

The Golden Ruins area in Totally Reliable Delivery Service was my way of paying homage to the original concept of the game before I joined the Were Five team. I wanted to give the history of the game concept a physical manifestation

The whole We’re Five company are big fans of Rocket League and we thought it would be fun to add a goofy physics based homage inside Totally Reliable Delivery Service. It was awesome to get to design such a fun game area.

Environment Props for Totally Reliable Delivery Service. One of my first tasks that helped me get into the style was to help redesign trees and rocks.
