Fishing and scavenging is dangerous. Something always gets through the kingdom’s outer wall.
As the new year starts its time to learn new skills.
Designed a wagon for the potion vendor to work, sleep, and travel in. Started out with some doodles in the sketchbook trying to find an interesting shape and also make it functional. A basic block in 3D allowed me to make sure that everything worked.

118 Tris. I’ve been diving into 3D recently. Not everything has been a success, but here’s an asset that I’m pretty happy with.
I’ve been experimenting with adding 3D to my workflow. The upfront time for learning to manipulate the program was a little large, but overall it has payed off. Here are a two of my more successful pieces along with their original sketches and 3D block ins.
I never quite figured out why this one was pink. Oops.
First painting of 2016. It’s also my most complicated painting to date. I used 3D to help plan out the image after coming up with some basic building shapes.
